Triund and Indrahar Pass

If you want to be adventurous you can go over the Indrahar pass. This is the most frequented pass across the Dhauladhar, and is know by several names: Laka, Indrahar and Kwaski. The track is well marked and you can have a beautiful view of the Kangra Valley

Trek Grade : Moderate
Ideal Season : May to June & Sep to Oct

Day 01: Delhi – Chakki bank

Board overnight train to Chakki bank to arrive early morning. Overnight onboard train.

Day 02: Chakki Bank - Mcloedganj

Met on arrival at station and further drive to Mcloedganj. Check-in at Hotel on arrival. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the Tibetan market and Monasteries. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Mcloedganj- Dharamkot - Triund (drive- 2 kms / trek - 4 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive 2 kms to reach Dharamkot- starting point of the trek. Trek through mixed forests of Oak and Rhododendron to reach Triund, famous for its majestic views. Overnight in tents.

Day 04: Triund – Lahesh cave ( Trek- 3 hrs)

Today's trek will be a moderate ascent through Oak and Fir trees. Lahesh Cave (3500 mts), is a natural rock shelter that can house approx. 20 people at one time. An added attraction over there is a small waterfall. Overnight in Tents

Day 05: Lahesh cave - Chatta Parao via Indrahar pass (Trek - 6/8 hrs)

Morning after breakfast start your trek to Chhata Parao, with a steady climb till Indrahar pass. A small rock temple embedded with trishuls marks the Indrahar pass. On a clear day, one can see both the Pir Panjal and the Great Himalayan ranges. Descent to reach the campsite at Chatta Parao. Overnight in tents.

Day 06: Chatta Parao – Kwarsi (Trek- 4/6 hrs)

The path to Kwarsi follows the Chhata Nallah for few kilometres and then descends while crossing ridges in-between. Kwarsi (2730 mts), is set amidst fine groves of deodar and blue pine. Overnight in tents.

Day 07: Kwarsi – Hilling - Choli (Trek - 4/6 hrs)

Morning after breakfast start the trek to Choli. The trek takes you through thick Deodar forest and at some places a very narrow path till you cross Hikkim Nallah. Thereafter the track is gradual passing through Hilling and Lamu village to Choli. Overnight in tents.

Day 08: Choli – Chamba – Dalhousie ( drive- 150 kms)

Morning after breakfast drive to Dalhousie. On arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09: Dalhousie – Chakki bank – Delhi ( drive 75 kms, Overnight train)

After a relaxed breakfast, explore the British colonial city and bazaars. Later in the afternoon drive to Chakki bank railway station to board overnight train back to Delhi.

Day 10: Arrive Delhi

Met on arrival at railway station and further transfer to desired destination.
