Dodital Trek

The trek commences from Uttarkashi and we travel to Kalyani by road. Kalyani to Bhewra is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodital is steep and through thick forests. Dodital is a beautiful lake surrounded by forests of Pine, Deodar, Oak etc. Lake is full of Himalayan Golden Trouts.

Day 01 (Sat): Delhi - Rishikesh

Morning leave Delhi to reach Rishikesh by evening. On arrival Check-in at the hotel . Evennig at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 (Sun): Rishikesh - Uttarkashi

Morning after breakfast drive further 155 kms to reach Uttarkashi. On arrival, check-in at Shikhar Nature Resort (SNR), located at the Bank of River Bhagirathi (Ganges), welcome tea/coffee and allotment of the tents. After lunch relax at the resort. Evening take up a short hike on the nearby mountain. Dinner & Overnight at the resort

Day 03 (Mon): Uttarkashi/ Kalyani/ Agoda/ Bhewra

Morning after breakfast drive (11 kms) to Road Head at Kalyani (1550 mt). Start your first day's trek to Bhewra (2160 mt) few km after Agoda (2050 mt) by covering approx. 17 kms (4/5 hrs). The trek passes through dense forest. Arrive Bhewra and set-up camp near water fall for overnight stay.

Day 04 (Tue): Bhewra / Majhi/ Dodital

After breakfast start the trek to Majhi. Stop here for lunch. Majhi has few Shephard hut and it offers very beautiful view of Darwa Top. After lunch continue Trek to Dodital (3024m), (13 kms- 4-5 hrs). Arrive and overnight stay in Alpine tents.

Day 05 ( Wed): Dodital

Day at leisure at Dodital. The forest surrounding the lake at Dodital is full of wildlife. It provides an idyllic set up for rest and recreational activities like nature watch and bird watching. Overnight stay in Alpine tents.

Day 06 (Thu): Dodital/ Agoda/ Kalyani/ Uttarkashi

After early breakfast trek down to Kalyani ( 30kms) with packed lunch. On reaching the road head, drive (11 kms back to the Shikhar Nature resort. Dinner & Overnight at Resort.

Day 07 (Fri): Uttarkashi

After a relaxed breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Uttarkashi- visit Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Vishwanath temple ( this temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The main attraction of this temple is the Shivling which is 60 cm high & 90 cm circumference). Campfire dinner and overnight at resort.

Day 08 (Sat): Uttarkashi / Delhi

Morning after breakfast drive back to Delhi.
